On behalf of the United Nations University (UNU), I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the generous hospitality and warm friendship extended to us by the Government and People of Japan. We feel privileged to call Tokyo our home.
As the world faces increasingly difficult challenges to peace and prosperity, UNU stands ready to serve the United Nations and its Members States by providing the knowledge needed to tackle pressing global issues. The financial contributions UNU receives from the private sector and individual citizens play a crucial role in ensuring that we can push forward our research and postgraduate teaching, so that together, we may overcome the enormous challenges of our times.
The Japan Foundation for the United Nations University (JFUNU) plays an important role in raising awareness of UNU’s activities in Japan and in raising additional contributions for our research and postgraduate teaching.
